Professor, Orthopedics and Rehabilitation
Organ System/Disease Focus: Musculoskeletal
Aligned Research Focus: Primary interest has been in factors affecting ligament and ligament to bone healing. Have also collaborated on projects related to bone and tendon scaffolds and tissue
Research Description
Dr. Graf is a clinical collaborator on several projects relating to tissue engineering and modulation of soft tissue healing. Examples include the creation of scaffolds to promote bone healing of critical sized defects and the use of biologically active implants (sutures and screws) to deliver growth factors to healing tissues. The use of MSC’s to further modulate healing is another area of interest.
